Postal skate sharpening and profiling

Can’t get to Kirkcaldy? Post us your skates or steel and we’ll sharpen or profile them on our Bauer ProSharp machine, then post them back.

Choose your service and hollow

• Sharpen, £7, to the hollow you choose.
• Profile, £30: Zuperior, Ellipse or Quad for player skates, or Goalie SAM (Agility) or Goalie Ellipse (Dynamic) for goalie skates. A sharpen to the hollow you choose is included.

The hollow (radius of hollow, or ROH) sets the balance between grip and glide. A smaller number cuts deeper, for more bite on turns and starts. A bigger number is shallower, for more glide. If you’re not sure, choose 1/2".

How it works

1. Order here. Return postage is our normal delivery charge, free on orders over £100.
2. If your steel comes out of the holders, just send the steel. Most hockey skates have a release trigger in the holder. If it doesn’t come out, send the whole skates.
3. Wrap the steel or skates so the edges are protected, and pack them in a box or padded envelope with a note of your name and order number.
4. Post them to Gloves Off, 78/80 Rosslyn Street, Kirkcaldy KY1 3AB, using a tracked service.
5. We’ll post them back by Royal Mail Tracked 48 within 48 hours of them arriving.
